Let’s get started.

-
Club Length
-
Lie Angle
-
Shaft Flex
-
Grip Size
-
Ideal Inertia
Cobra uses a “dynamic” fitting process (as opposed to other “static” approaches using charts, Internet guides and voodoo). Dynamic fitting uses first-person observation, by your Club Fitter, of your swing and your ball’s flight and spin.
STEP 1: CLUB LENGTH.
THE LONG AND SHORT OF KEEPING SHOTS IN THE SWEET ZONE.

Proper club length is no small thing. Using an improper length club makes it difficult for you to hit the Sweet Zone consistently, resulting in a loss of distance and accuracy Middle handicap players who desire a thinner top-line, less offset and more workability will start with the 3100 I/H model. All other players will start with the 3400 I/X H model The Club Fitter will observe your posture and hand position as you grip a standard length club. After finding a club that appears to be the right length for you, the Club Fitter will apply face impact tape on the club. Now you’ll hit a few shots to observe your ball strike location pattern. From this, the Club Fitter will make final recommendations for your ideal club length .
STEP 2: LIE ANGLE.
WE'LL FIND YOUR PROPER LIE ANGLE. YOU'LL HIT TRUER SHOTS.

The lie angle of your clubs is the angle between the ground and the shaft when your club sits flat on the turf . If your lie angle is o ff , so are your shots. If it’s too flat you’ll generally hit shots to the right of your intended target. If it’s too upright, you’ll generally hit shots to the left. Your Club Fitter will apply sole tape to the club that matches your ideal length and have you hit a few shots. From here, adjustments a remade The following guidelines show how your Club Fitter determines your ideal lie angle.
STEP 3: SHAFT FLEX.
THERE'S TOO STIFF. TOO FLEXIBLE. AND TOO PERFECT.

Finding the proper shaft and flex for your swing is crucial for longer, more consistent shots. A sh aft that is too stiff or too flexible for your part i cular swing will result in a loss of distance and/or accuracy. Your Club Fitter will analyse your swing and swing speed and use the chart below to determine the shaft flex that gives you the best combination of distance and control.
STEP 4: GRIP SIZE.
HAVING THE WRONG GRIPS CAN HOLD YOUR ENTIRE GAME BACK.

Determining the proper grip size and type for your clubs is an important and often overlooked part of the custom fitting process. The grip size and type influences the feel, distance and control that a player experiences with the club. If the standard grip size is correct, the middle two fingertips will barely touch the heel position of the hand. If the fingertips are separated from the heel portion of the hand, the grip is too large. If the fingertips are digging into the heel of the palm, the grip is too small.
STEP 5: INERTIA VALUES.
AND THE VALUE OF FINDING THE INERTIA THAT MATCHES YOUR GAME.

More experienced players generally prefer less Inertia because they like to work and shape shots. Higher handicap players benefit from the forgiveness and stability of increased Inertia. The chart below gives you a general idea of which Inertia Series Irons are right for you. Your Club Fitter will start you off with the irons that match your handicap and swing speed. Adjustments are made based on your Club Fitter’s observations and your feedback. It won’t take long to find the ideal irons for your swing. And that means you’ll soon find greens a lot easier to hit.
